I will be traveling from UK to Australia and will not be using Virgin mobile as I have a dual sim phone. What I wanted to do was record a voicemail on Virgin giving my other number and saying not to leave a message. I would then not retrieve any Vms when I'm travelling. I've just had a long conversation with Virgin so told me 100% I would not be charged anything if I did not retrieve the call. However I have just read conflicting info that Virgin Is one of the providers who make a charge for receiving and not retrieving. I recorded the call to make sure I had the correct information. Can you clarify please?
Taking it with me otherwise I will be unable to use my whatsapp on my phone without it and don't want to set up another account especially. Otherwise I would have recorded voicemail and left the sim behind.
Thanks for your reply I received the same answer from Virgin yesterday that I would be charged even if I didn't answer the voicemail. Not great that that I was told 100% that I wouldn't be charged by the original Virgin operator. Just as well I didn't go on that information otherwise I could have ended up with a big bill at the end. I will have to work out whether the WhatsApp will work sufficiently without the original SIM related to it so that I could leave the Virgin SIM behind with a voicemail message on it
